Hawaii's Partnership for Appropriate and Compassionate Care (HPACC) - A 1998 Project of Hawaii Family Forum and the Hawaii Medical Association Click here to view HPACC Ad Campaign

HPACC is a coalition of health care, disability rights, and educational organizations dedicated to opposing physician-assisted suicide and improving end of life care.

We believe physician-assisted suicide represents a final and destructive response to illness or disability. As such, any legalization of this activity is bad public policy and harmful to the well being of the people of Hawaii.

We support constructive and positive alternatives to physician-assisted suicide, including:

  • More effective pain management;
  • Better diagnosis, and treatment of depression and;
  • Greater utilization of hospice and palliative care services.
